Discover the story behind this artwork
Explore the beauty of pure geometry with Golden Intersection, an art print of an iconic poster from the 1923 Bauhaus exhibition. Minimalist and striking, this work beautifully illustrates the essence of Bauhaus: simple shapes, perfect balance, and graphic power.
Composed of two superimposed circles — one solid gold, the other striped with vertical black lines — this poster plays on contrast and transparency. The central intersection between the two shapes creates a subtle depth effect, evoking the layering of ideas and the fusion between art and design.
A tribute to modernist graphic design:
"Presented at the Weimar exhibition in 1923, this composition visually translates the Bauhaus's research on modularity, formal simplicity, and the harmony between aesthetics and function. It reflects the avant-gardism of the time while fitting into a timeless modernity."
