This remarkable photograph shows an American Jeep stopped in front of a house at 6 Robert Le Magnifique Street in Cerisy-la-Forêt (Manche). Three soldiers take seats in the vehicle: two GIs belonging to the 2nd US Infantry Division and a French liaison officer equipped with a Sten gun, recognizable by his British uniform and the rank of sergeant or second lieutenant. A group of twelve civilians, including women and children, proudly pose in front of the house, bearing witness to the region's liberation during World War II. A unique historical piece for history enthusiasts and vintage décor lovers.
