About the Portrait of David Pfannschmidt
Józef Czauczik painted this portrait around 1842. The Slovak National Gallery records it as “Podobizeň Dávida Pfannschmidta (Thinschmidta)”, meaning that Thinschmidt is retained as a surname variant in parentheses. This oil on canvas measures 77 × 60.5 cm and is numbered O 1426.
